Coordinates: Latitude 40,11 Longitude 22,41 / Altitude: 1950m.
Our second field of study was the forest of Petrostrugka at Olympos. A forest consisting of oak trees. The characteristics of this forest are completely different since it is on the one hand further north than Foloi and on the other hand at a higher altitude (about 1950m). We therefore expect to reach different conclusions.

As for Foloi, so also for Olympus we made a timelapse video to compare the years 2022 and 2023. The dates of the frames are from 09 of September to 28 of January.
In this video we have used the compare function of EO Browser and we first compare the dates 20/10/2022 with 09/11/2023 and then the dates 20/10/2022 with 29/11/2023.
The first ones are 20 calendar days apart. We see about the same snow levels but noticeably less yellowing in 2023 even though it is 20 days later.
In the latter, 40 calendar days apart, we see much more snow in 2023 but probably less leaf yellowing!
From this comparison we conclude that the time delay is greater than 40 days.
Study through Python
To support our conclusions we passed the pictures from the python program we have built. There was no point in calculating percentages because in all the photos there is (more or less) snow and therefore the percentages would be fictitious. Instead we emphasized the absolute number of pixels:
