Adopt a Stream Foundation

Adopt a Stream Foundation, located at the Northwest Stream Center, is a place to teach…and a place to learn. A place to discover…and a place to return to. The Northwest Stream Center is a place for young and old, individuals and businesses, schools and governments to work together to protect our streams and wetlands…and to improve the quality of all of our lives.

Northwest Stream Center is located on a beautiful 25-acre site leased from Snohomish County Parks and Recreation in McCollum Park, approximately 1/2 mile east of Interstate 5 between Seattle and Everett, WA. Two salmon streams flow on the grounds that are covered with complex wetland systems and pockets of upland old second growth forest.

“This is a great location,” says AASF Director Tom Murdoch. “Here, we have all the ingredients necessary to teach people how to become stewards of their watersheds, and it is accessible to everyone along the I-5 corridor.”
