Alert: July 13th event
Snohomish County communities have no shortage of climate plans, strategies, and commitments—but what will it take to turn those plans into real-world action?
Join local elected officials, regional climate leaders, and community partners for a dynamic conversation focused on how city, county, tribal and regional climate initiatives are aligning across Snohomish County and the broader Puget Sound region. This event will explore where momentum is building, where challenges remain, and what is needed next to accelerate implementation and deliver meaningful climate pollution reductions.
The evening will be moderated by Snohomish County Councilmember Megan Dunn, who also serves as a Board member and Vice Chair of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency Board of Directors. Last year, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency led the development of the region's Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (Regional CCAP) through strong collaboration between local governments, community partners and others to identify high-impact strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the four-county Puget Sound region.
The event will begin with a presentation highlighting regional and local climate plans—including the Regional CCAP—along with key priorities, areas of alignment, and opportunities for collaboration across jurisdictions. Participants will then hear directly from local elected leaders and practitioners during a roundtable discussion focused on climate action already happening in the field—from transportation and clean buildings to resilience, waste reduction, and the community partnerships helping bring these efforts to life.
The event will end with an informal networking mixer, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with fellow climate leaders, public servants, advocates, and community members. Light snacks and beverages will be available—bring your reusable water bottle!
Whether you work in government, advocacy, business, sustainability, or simply care about the future of Snohomish County, this event is an opportunity to better understand the region's climate direction, learn from leaders implementing solutions today, and explore the partnerships needed to move from plans to action.
The Climate Alliance of Snohomish County (CASC) is a coalition of nonprofits, faith groups, and individuals representing thousands of members, working together to address climate change in our sector of Washington State. We accomplish this by collectively advocating for policies and laws that fight climate change and which create a climate-safe future for Snohomish County.
This coalition is a partnership among our member organizations for nonpartisan purposes, although coalition partners may not always be nonpartisan. Please note that membership in this coalition does not automatically confer endorsement of an issue or policy.
