ART-n°1
Pupils analyse two of Arcimboldo's paintings to find out differences and similarities, distinguishing different types of food and producing a drawing following the teacher's instructions. In groups students identify vegetables and fruit, create a painting and check their communication in English. They can use different types of coloring techniques (pointillism, plain colour, swung dash, etc.), then they organize all drawings in a personal and creative composition.
ART-n°2
Teachers check the images and clippings each pupil has found in the magazines about their favourite food.
Presentation of the function to ask and express one's favourite food:
What' s your favourite food? My favourite food is.....
using speaking and work in pairs.
Children paste the images (not more than 3/4) on a paper plate and create a personal composition; after that they organize all the dishes in a creative poster.
