ABOUT ME:
I am RTDB (= Tenured researcher) in Algebra at the Department of Science and High-Tech of the University of Insubria in Como (Italy).
Qualification: I obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full [Associate] Professor in Algebra (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di professore universitario di Seconda Fascia nel s.c. 01/A2) in February 2022 .
Education: I got my PhD in Mathematics in February 2015, jointly at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), under the supervision of Prof. J. Minac and Prof. Th.S. Weigel. For my whole CV see here.
Teaching: in 2023/24 I am teaching two courses: the course Algebra 2 for the Degree in Math (2nd year), and a course on Lie Algebras (Advanced Algebra A), for the Master Degree in Math: for further details see the dedicated page. I am a member of the Faculty Board of the Joint PhD School in Mathematics Pavia - Milano-Bicocca - INdAM.

MY MATH:
Research interests: profinite (especially pro-p) groups and their cohomology, Galois cohomology, absolute Galois groups, geometric group theory, Lie structures associated to groups, graded algebras; more generally, I'm interested in Galois theory, algebraic number theory, history of Mathematics.
