For this project, I was in charge of creating the soundtrack for the Game Design Minor's capstone project, totalling 6 songs created with the MIDI sounds in the notation software MuseScore.Â
Completed: April. 2024; Synth + Orchestral style
For this project, we were given a video from our professor that contains a series of contextually unrelated clips. We were asked to compose music to be played over this video in an attempt to make the video as "cohesive" as possible. The music I composed was done in Logic, using the MIDI instruments available.
Completed: Sept. 2022; Orchestral style
This composition was done in 2022 as part of my Materials of Music III class, asking us to create a short theme and variations.
For this project, we were asked to choose a song of any length, and create a cover of it. I chose the credits song from the video game The Beginner's Guide, Turn Back by Ryan Roth. I recorded myself playing the piano chords for the first section, with a friend providing the vocals. As an extention to the original song, I included an orchestral section highlighted by a clarinet solo that I played.
