As the final for my Senior Seminar class (spring 2024), I took a 13-14 minute clip from the movie and redid all of the sound elements, including foley, ADR, sound effects, and music. All ADR was done by me and a couple friends, with the foley and sound effects being done mostly by me, with more difficult sounds being downloaded and incorporated from free sites like Pixabay. The music was done using the MIDI library of sounds in Logic Pro X.
Completed: May 2024
As the final for my Music Postproduction class (fall 2022), we took a 5-7 scene from a show or movie, tasked with redoing every aspect of audio present in the scene. For me, this involved recording most sound effects present in the clip using foley, and ADR recording all of the voice lines, all done by me. The background music was composed in Logic with the MIDI instruments available.
Completed: Dec. 2022
As a practice project in class, we were given a list of words and asked to create short sound effects, ambiences, or soundscapes that evoked that word using whatever DAW we wanted.
(In order from top to bottom: Danger!, Frightening, Huge, Relaxing, Technological)
Completed: Nov. 2022
For this project, we were tasked with replicating the audio from a scene from Life of Pi as closely as possible using only ADR and foley techniques, working by ourselves. Voice lines were recorded in the provided recording studio, and sound effects and ambience were recorded outside the studio using my iPhone's microphone.
Completed: Nov. 2022
For this project, we were given a short clip from the movie Direct Contact (2009), where we had to ADR the voice lines of the characters.Â
Completed: Oct. 2022
This project detailed that we go through the different tracks of an unlabled song given to us by our professor, and EQ them as we saw fit to improve the quality of the song.
Completed: Oct. 2020
This project detailed that we sample different takes of a vocal track, and consolidating the best parts of each take into one track of the song. The song name was not specified, but was performed by a friend of the professor who assigned the project.
