A.D.D.I.E Model (Instructional Design Model)
The instructional design project will be grounded by the principles of the ADDIE instructional model which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (Kurt, 2017). Its activities implemented to address the identified learning gaps are guided by the selected instructional design model.
Analysis
Beginning with the Analysis phase, the researcher conducted a needs analysis, reviewed the existing ALS K-12 curriculum focused on the learning strand on Communication Skills (Reading), implemented a diagnostic assessment to assess learners’ reading comprehension levels, and conducted a consultation with the gatekeeper to inquire on the learners’ age, schedules, how classes are conducted and his remarks on the limitations of the existing DepEd modules.

Proceeding to the Design phase of the ADDIE model, the researcher proposed to select the targeted competencies based on the K-12 curriculum guide for Elementary advanced learners to base the learning objectives of each booklet. At the design phase, the researcher will also construct a scope and sequence for each booklet and create a fixed structure that each booklet will follow accordingly.

In the Development stage of the proposed project is the creation of the five booklets itself combined with a teaching guide booklet. During this stage, the planned design and structure of each booklet are followed. After booklets were created, all were printed for implementation and evaluation.

Implementation
In the Implementation phase of the project, the researcher piloted the supplementary booklets to the ALS learners (Elementary Advanced level) of Cecilio Elementary School. During the implementation, the researcher will observe any challenges met and learner progress.

Evaluation
Lastly, during the evaluation phase, the researcher gathered feedbacks from the gatekeeper as well as the observations made throughout the whole implementation period. The researcher provided an INstructional Material Evaluation tool filled out by the gatekeeper to evaluate the booklets' effectiveness and quality.
