Criminal Justice Centre for Advocacy, Research, and Education
The Criminal Justice Centre for Advocacy, Research, and Education (CJCARE), a global transnational research hub housed at the University of Regina (Canada), is committed to advancing justice, equity, and advocacy for Indigenous, racialized, and marginalized communities. Established in 2026, CJCARE focuses on addressing systemic barriers in the criminal justice systems (law enforcement, court, and correctional systems) through interdisciplinary research, community engagement, and advocacy to promote justice, equity, and policy reform for marginalized communities.
"At CJCARE, all associates are united by a shared commitment to advancing justice, equity, and meaningful change in CJ systems across the globe. Our Centre brings together scholars, researchers, and community partners to critically examine and transform the systems that impact Indigenous, racialized, and other marginalized communities. Through collaborative and interdisciplinary research, advocacy, and policy reform, we aim to (1) raise awareness of systemic barriers and (2) actively shape more inclusive policies and practices that advance equitable justice for all. I invite you to join us (whether as a researcher, graduate student, or scholar) in our mission to drive effective and efficient change through knowledge, dialogue, and action."
