Reflective Statement
The Networking and Cybersecurity program at Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center is part of the Cisco Networking Academy. The Cisco Networking Academy offers opportunities for professional development and continuing education. As a member of the IT Academy staff at PRCTC, I have access to multiple resources through CISCO, Administrator assigned professional development, off-campus conferences, the advisory committee for my department, and online resources. Teachers in the IT Academy also have one another for accountability, clarification of ethics and professional standards.

I chose this evidence to show that I am engaged in professional development. Below you will see an agenda for a week long professional development this fall. The purpose of this training is to help teach me effective ways to instruct students on effective ways to build and create different types of networks. The training lasted 5 business days and covered a variety of ways to use packet tracer. Packet Tracer is a simulator to help all learners understand the complexity and versatility of various network types. Lastly, I use this training to indicate what parts of my program need improvement, and what can be done to advance.
