Reflective Statement
The experience I have working in the field of IT provides a comprehensive bag of tricks, of scenarios and issues that are common when working in that environment. Teaching students how to troubleshoot begins the first day, and continues throughout their two years in the program. I have certifications in CompTIA IT Fundamentals and CompTIA A+. My professional goals are to earn a CompTIA Network+, and CISCO CCNA. As I grow in my knowledge and as information technologies evolve, so does the content evolve for these certifications. These disciplines within these areas require a pre-requisite of reading and writing skills in order to accomplish full knowledge of the content area. These disciplines are relevant in the IT field, and will create more opportunities for students to get jobs.

In this example I have taken the content from the text book and condensed it into a presentation that contains the underlying objectives. The presentation is a combination of terms and concepts along with videos. In this chapter we have a class discussion on Local Computer security threats and best practices when managing workstations. In this lesson I explain to the students various threats we face when dealing with PC security and how we can safeguard our data.
