• NO SELF-MODDING. If moderation is required, wait until the fight is over (unless impossible) and contact one of the raid moderators, allowing them to handle things.

⚔BASIC RAID SET-UP⚔
• All raids must come through the main entrance unless otherwise agreed upon
• You don't have to set up an appointment to raid us. Come over, get a headcount, and proceed after both parties are satisfied that they are ready. If you wish to raid unscheduled, you must allow us to do the same to your sim following our same defender count model.
• Raid ratio: 1:1+1 (flexible)
• No tarns, tharlarion or other mounted objects/attachments. (Melee only sim)
• You must ask for a defender count and receive one before initiating a raid.
• A raid is classified as and consists of 3 or more people attacking the sim.
• You cannot instigate a raid in the middle of the city under the guise of RP unless approved by an Admin.
• Raids must originate from the raid landing point.
• No more than 2 raids per week by a single group or city. If it is a combined raid then this counts for all groups in the raid. Rescues do not count toward this number.
• Any members of Selnar arriving on the sim after the raid has been announced must set AFK/OOC for the duration of the raid.
• If a raid consists of more than one group, then captives can only be taken to ONE sim, preferably the sim leading the raid. Of course if the captor and the cap wish to go to another sim that is fine, but there will be no rescue mounted.
• Selnar does not allow runners to go for reinforcements during raids on the city.
RAIDERS/ATTACKERS
→ Only BtB groups may raid Selnar, we are only interested in BtB RP.
→ No free women may accompany raiders on either side
→ No GE raids permitted.
→ No panther raids due to Selnar being on a friggin' island.
→ Attackers may bring no more than two raid slaves
Loopholing or another coy tomfoolery (ie. "your rules didn't specifically say we can't face-check a wall that is obviously accidentally set to phantom!") in order to gain an unfair advantage or circumvent the spirit of fair play will result in an automatic ban without warning or discussion.
⚔NON COMBATANTS⚔
→ Those who are not active defenders of the city may participate in two different ways at their own discretion -
• Raid Slaves / Free Raid Aids - must put Raid Slave or Raid Aid in their titler. Raid Slaves and Raid Aids may participate by aiding, bandaging, binding, unbinding, and leashing captives. A Raid Slave / Raid Aid may NOT do any meter damage during the raid, even to defend themselves or their owner. We prefer that Raid Aids and Raid Slaves be in voice comms, at least to listen. The raid leader must approve raid slaves / raid aids.
• Non-Combatants - Non-combatants must move inside a building. Non-combatants may defend themselves if the building they're sheltering in is breached by the attackers. They may NOT aid/bandage/unbind any defenders or bind/leash any raiders, except inside their home. A non-combatant may NOT pursue a raider outside the building if the raider retreats. Violation of these rules is a self-bind for the non-combatant. Any character that defends themselves is liable for the IC consequences of that action, including possible death for slaves.
Citizens who do not wish to participate must be inside a home or the baths. You must set your meter to AWAY or OOC. You may not CHANGE your status. You may not participate in any way with the raid and are not eligible as captives.
NON-COMBATANT ALLOWED WEAPONS AND DAMAGE.
• Free Men and Male Slaves: Melee only, maximum 45% damage
• Free Women and Female Slaves: Melee only, maximum 40% damage. May use a dagger, hair pin, brooms, etc but you must accept the consequences of uses weapons.
⚔EMOTES⚔
• No grappling/ladders/rope arrows
• Lockpicking: No emotes required to pick or repair locks. Doors that are not able to be lock-picked are designed that way either because they are lever activated. The use of prim doors is only allowed in the event of repeated door server failures and you must be able to show the failure messages.
• Stealing keys: 1 emote of at least 10 words. Use the person’s name.
• Aiding: 1 emotes of 10 words each. Use the person’s name.
• Binding: 3 emotes of 10 words each. Use the person’s name.
• Unbinding another: 1 emote of 10 words each. Use the person’s name.
• Self-unbinding during a raid: 20 minute timer.
• Sailing: 1 emote of 10 words. Name your captive, if any.
• Leashing does not require emotes.
• No running with captives leashed. A male may drag two captives at a time, a female may drag one.
• Bandaging does not require emotes.
• No jumping, speed enhancers, or unrealistic/displacing AO's.
⚔ ESCAPE / RESCUE RAIDS / CAPTIVES ⚔
• Escape: One emote of at least ten words from the raid landing point.
• Captives: Captives taken from Selnar can be brought back to another BtB sim only. If no clue has been left in roleplay, then it will automatically be assumed that some sort of clue has been left as to where said captive from our NPC Thassa Patrols
• You must wait at least two (24) hours before metered retaliation or rescues. Roleplay based trade attempts and rescues are welcomed and encouraged within the 24hrs!
• We want to encourage people who may want longer term storylines while at the same time, also ensuring that preferences are respected without any drama and also not tying up the sims with endless raids. If a captive is taken, we will make a reasonable number of attempts to rescue. At the end of 3 days, it is understood that the captor and captive will work out between the two of them as responsible adults whether to rp the captive returning home (if the captive wants) or extend the rp for a fixed or indeterminate period of time. Should the captive stay beyond 3 days, there will be no more attempts to rescue and it will be assumed the captive is lost until he or she returns.
• Victors of a raid may take two captives by default. Every other potential captive must consent to being taken.
• Victors of a raid may NOT meter or RP kill any of the defeated. (ie. no one-line mass murders)
⚔ WEAPONS / ALLOWED DAMAGE TYPE / SWITCHING RULES ⚔
Reminder: MELEE ONLY. NO RANGED WEAPONS. No throwable versions of melee weapons allowed (throwing daggers, kunai, throwable spears, axes, etc)
• Max Weapon Damage: 45%
• Free Women may only defend themselves if attacked while in a raid. Women should also use IC common sense and remember that you are open to IC consequences.
• Slaves: RAID slaves can never fight. Other Slaves ICly are still subject to DEATH if they attack a free even in defense of Selnar free persons, even if ORDERED. Other Free may still choose to kill a slave that attacks a free or uses a weapon. Slaves attacking other slaves is FINE.
You can not change DAMAGE TYPE from SWORD to SPEAR/POLEARM or from AXE to GREATAXE with a chat command/gesture. Choose one weapon type per weapon and STICK to it.
Multiple melee weapons are allowed, but players must fall back from hit range and wait 2 seconds when switching in order to ensure the prevention of quick switching. NO QUICK SWITCHING.

⚔MODERATION⚔
Only our mods may invalidate anything.
If you have an issue, you MUST contact YOUR raid mod and WAIT for a decision. Anyone self-modding or stopping combat without a mod's approval is subject to being ejected and banned. As a general rule, mods will not invalidate a raid if the mistake was not blatant cheating and/or was not enough to affect the outcome of the battle. Individuals will be warned, however. Blatant cheating (such as resetting meters, refusing binds, use of cheat HUDs etc.) will result in bans
Use common sense and have a sense of fair play above all else, if it's not covered here, then our mods have the right to rule on it based on the feasibility of the situation.
❖ COMBAT (non-raid) ❖
Personal Combat requires 30 minutes of role play
At least two lines must have been posted by the victim of an attack during this time
The Aggressor must make a challenge in order to initiate Personal Combat
• A challenge is a post indicating you intend to harm the victim verbal or non verbal + the drawing of a weapon
• Drawing a weapon is a “Ready” Action. Do not draw your weapon if you are not "Ready"
The victim of an attack must take a "Ready" action in response to your challenge in order to be meter damaged. The following are Ready Actions:
• Drawing a weapon
• Running away
For duels, both must verbalize ready after posting for duel to begin,
❖ Dice Combat ❖
It is highly recommended that dice rolls be discussed before using them.
• Male vs Female - Male rolls twice and chooses highest roll
• Skilled vs Unskilled - Skilled character rolls twice and chooses highest roll
❖ IC WEAPONS CHECK ❖
Ranged weapons will be ICly confiscated. Please, respect the melee-only rule we have for this sim. Any other weapons will be dealt with by the red caste.
❖ REALITY CHECK❖
Selnar is a city with thousands of warriors and guards on duty around the clock as well as citizens. RPing that you are in that city requires RPing that those people exist. You cannot steal the Home Stone, women, rob the bank, or destroy a building just because the sim is ‘empty’. If you're breaking into some place when nobody is around, play fair, and leave a notecard with details and clues. This kind of RP should be the start of a story and not just a notch in your criminal belt. Owners of homes, shops, etc have the right to ignore any damage done when no one is around.
