Gibault Children’s Services offers residential programs for youth ranging from age 6-21. All children placed at Gibault work with a master’s level therapist who conducts regular individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

A freestanding acute care hospital was established in August 2008. It has 81 beds for providing inpatient services to individuals needing 24-hour intensive psychiatric care. They serve children aged 3-12, adolescents aged 13-17, adults aged 18-54 and geriatrics aged 55 and older and have an average length of stay ranging from 5-10 days. Each age group is separated by their own individual units.
Criteria for Admissions
Suicidal or Homicidal ideation or suicidal attempt
Harm to self or others
Severely depressed mood, feelings of helplessness, severely impaired contact with reality, or severely disorganized thinking
Recent incident of significant self-mutilation, significant risk-taking, or loss of impulse control resulting in danger to self or others.
Admission is court ordered.
