The percentage total of your activities will be translated into the 4.0 scale. A minimum score of 75%, which is a 2.0 is required to pass the class.
The Final Grade will be comprised of the following weighted categories:
Khan Academy assignments for Computer Concepts & Windows 10/11: 20%
Grader projects (non-capstone): 30%
Office Application simulation trainings: 25%
Word, Excel. Access and PowerPoint Capstone grader projects and quizzes and the Integrated Project 25% (8 assignments)
Note: students are required to complete all capstone assignments and the Integrated project to pass the class, if you do not complete all assignments you will be given a 0% on all capstone project scores. This will prevent you from passing the class.

I do not take points off for late work, all work submitted by the last day in the quarter work is accepted will receive full credit.
This course uses Canvas, Khan Academy and MyLab IT as the classroom management software to deliver assignments and proficiency tests. Access to Khan Academy and MyLab IT are integrated with Canvas, thus you will use Canvas to access your course materials located on Khan Academy and MyLab IT. There are specific due dates for assignments and tests however late assignments are not penalized. All due dates are listed on the assignment in MyLab IT and DO NOT show up in the Canvas calendar, please mark your calendar so that you are prepared to meet these specific due dates. A printable due date schedule is available on the Canvas Home page. Assignments are encouraged to be submitted before the due date if possible, however if you are having difficulties completing the work by the due date, please contact me to make arrangements for late work. You are expected to work on course work approximately 15 hours per week, if there is a week day that does not have an assignment due that is because the next assignment is expected to take longer to complete.
The best way to contact me is through Canvas Inbox. DO NOT use the MyLab IT communications tab. Be sure to use this resource if you are having ANY difficulty.
If you elect not to participate in this class, you need to withdraw from it. Students who are registered for the course and do not officially drop will be given a 0.0 at the end of the quarter. To withdraw from the course, you must follow the SCC Admissions Department rules and dateline for the last day to drop
WAC 132Q-04-060 “Specifically, (1) any student who, for the purpose of fulfilling or partially fulfilling any assignment or task required by the faculty as part of the student’s program of instruction, shall knowingly tender any work product that the student fraudulently represents to the faculty as the student’s work product, shall be deemed to have cheated. Cheating shall be cause for disciplinary action. (2) Any student who aids or abets the accomplishment of cheating as defined in subsection (1) of this section shall also be subject to disciplinary action”.
Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in 0 score on assignments and a final grade of 0.0 for all parties involved. Student Services will be notified for further disciplinary action, which could possibly be expulsion from the college.
NOTE -- MyLab IT can identify if the Grader assignment submitted was the one downloaded by you and if you have copied any content from another student or document. If you submit another student’s grader assignment, it will be considered cheating, and the above-mentioned actions will be taken.
If you share a computer with another student taking or who previously took this class, you must keep track of your assignments and files. It is recommended that you create a folder for each person using the computer. Be sure to download files to your folder. It is your responsibility to ensure that the proper file is submitted – no exceptions will be made for accidently submitting the ‘wrong assignment.’
