In recognition of his outstanding dedication and significant contributions to the hockey community, we proudly honor Pete Moros as a 2022 inductee into our esteemed Hall of Fame.
Pete has been a registered USA Hockey Official since October 1982, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the sport over the past four decades. With a Level 4 certification for approximately 15 seasons and currently holding a Level 3 status, he has officiated games ranging from Mite through High School, including College Club and Men's Leagues, with precision and integrity.
His involvement in the Colorado hockey community is extensive and impactful. Pete has served as a referee for CHSAA High School Games since November 2008 and has actively participated in USA Hockey District Officiating Seminars, contributing to the development of officials in Denver and Vail.
As a USA Hockey Seminar Instructor, Pete has shared his knowledge and expertise in both classroom and on-ice settings, instructing in at least two seminars annually from 1988 through 1997. He furthered his commitment to officiating by participating in the Instructors Training program in Colorado Springs in April 1990.
Pete's leadership roles within the hockey community are significant. He served as Secretary of the Colorado Ice Hockey Referees Association Board from May 1988 to April 1994 and later as a Member-at-Large from July 2020 to June 2022. Additionally, he contributed to the Disciplinary Committee and Arbitration Panel since August 2002 and has been an active member of the Hall of Fame Committee since April 2011.
His dedication to officiating and the development of players is evident through his participation in various events, such as the Rocky Mountain District Player Development Camp in May 2000 and the Rocky Mountain Regional Championships and Tier II Midget National Championships in April 2001.
