Suspect Injured In Shooting As Police Try To Make An Arrest:
One person was injured in a shooting involving a Columbus Police Officer in southwest Columbus. Police said the shooting occurred in the 800 block of West Stephen Drive around 3:45 a.m.
According to officials, police stopped Anthony E. Trussell while he was riding a motorized scooter. Trussell, who was wanted on a felony warrant for a probation violation, fled the scene on foot, according to police.

Delaware County Man Beaten, Assaulted In Home Invasion Robbery
LEWIS CENTER, Ohio - Delaware County deputies are investigating a violent home invasion which occurred Friday morning in Lewis Center.
A victim told authorities that he was beaten and knocked unconscious at his Sedona Drive home.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with severe injuries.
Police are looking for the victim's Cadillac which was apparently stolen in the robbery.
It's a black 2009 Cadillac CTS with the license plate EYS5349.
If you spot the car, you're asked to contact authorities.
2 Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Officer’s Home
GROVE CITY, Ohio - A Grove City Police officer's home was targeted by thieves Friday morning.
Investigators said two men broke into the officer's home Friday morning while he was asleep. His wife and infant child were home during the incident, where thieves attempted to take a television and safe.
Investigators said the officer woke up and called 911.
Other officers rushed to the neighborhood, and the two men were taken into custody.
Man Dies Trying To Rescue Child From Icy Pond
COLUMBUS, Ohio -
A man died after trying to rescue a child who fell through the ice on a pond near an apartment complex in southeast Columbus Thursday afternoon.
Crews were called to the pond near an apartment complex off of Shore Blvd. at about 5:40 p.m. Before help arrived, a neighbor, James R. Jenkins, 30, jumped into the water in an attempt to save the child.
Jenkins was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he later died.
The 5-year-old boy was transported by medical helicopter to Nationwide Children's Hospital in life-threatening condition.According to fire officials, the boy was in the water for more than an hour.
