Cibola MUN is dedicated to advocating for an advancing student knowlege of diplomacy. Through thoughtful debate and interactive simulations, students learn about the diplomatic process and how to resolve differences through productive dialogue.
Despite being a wholly independent club, CibolaMUN is deeply connected to Cougar YAG! Many of our members participate in both and the current President of Cougar YAG also serves as Cibola MUN's Secretary-General. Additionaly both clubs consider the other as a sister entity, and the leadership teams work hard to cooperate.

Mrs. Petersen was recruited to sponsor a Cibola Model UN BY YAG President Tanner Ozdoba in August of 2024. Together they have worked hard to build a strong delegation that makes Cibola Proud!

2025 Lobo MUN Conference
2025 Lobo MUN Conference
Thursday February 27th - Saturday March 1st
Lobo MUN is the second largest MUN conference of the year and is substantially cheaper and less stressful. This year 4 Cougars participated and together represented Syria and Hungary.
Cibola MUN Secretary-General Tanner Ozdoba and Cibola YAG Vice-President Olivia Villarreal, earned an Honorable Mention for best delegate on their committee (GA).

Wednesday November 20th - Friday November 22nd
This is the largest conference of the MUN calendar. Secretary General Ozdoba lead a delegation of 9 Cougars representing the Nation of New Zealand!!! Together they represented New Zealand on 5 separate Model UN committees!
Jackson Shirley, Cibola MUN's Vice-Secretary-General earned the best Delegate award for his committee (HRC).

Cibola delegates represented New Zealand and practiced for the State conference.

YAG President Tanner Ozdoba and perspective MUN sponsor Mrs. Petersen lead a delegation of 3 to this first event. Together they were working to deside whether or not to start a Model UN Club at Cibola HS. This Opening event was held at the Menaul School.
