Marketing blends psychology, economics, and statistics to ensure companies offer desired products and services. The role of marketers is to help consumers recognise a need and fulfill it with the company's offerings, making strategic decisions about product selection, pricing, and distribution channels. I chose to take Marketing as a degree because it empowers me to play a pivotal role in helping companies connect with their target audience. I personally always have the desire to help people fulfil their needs and marketing provides me with the tools and knowledge to do so. Ultimately, pursuing a degree in Marketing enables me to combine creativity with analytical skills, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the success of businesses while addressing the evolving demands of today's market.
In line with SUSS's 3H framework, I hope to become a marketing professional who exemplifies 'Head' by applying knowledge. The 'Heart' aspect involves cultivating social awareness, embracing sustainability, and aligning marketing with societal needs. Additionally, the 'Habit' of lifelong learning is essential for adapting to evolving consumer trends and technology.
