The FAFSA application opens on December 1, 2025. Most colleges have a March 1 deadline for submission. However, it is recommended that you and a parent complete the application as soon as possible. Ideally getting in as soon as possible will ensure you receive your financial aid award letter either with your admission offer or within two weeks of being accepted.
There are countless scholarships available! To help you navigate the process, CHS Student Services recommends starting your search with Naviance. Common App also matches with scholarships based on responses (check out the Financial Aid Tab). Check with the universities you are applying to for scholarship opportunities. Additionally, if you’re considering the military as a way to help fund your education, be sure to speak with a recruiter to explore the available opportunities.
