A wireless local area network (WLAN) is designed as per the client's requirement. This project is implemented using Aerohive.
We designed a WLAN for the client’s indoor college environment of 55m×40m areas for a 1Gbps data rate. Based on the client’s requirement with relaxations, it took 19 numbers of AP150W APs, which operate in the 5GHz band at 20dBm transmitter power use 256QAM at ¾ code rate, ensuring a BER of 8.5742×10-6. The feasibility of the network is verified through the link budget calculation and simulated using the Aerohive software. We proposed a cost-optimal solution for the client to pay only $2.1936 per square meter. The designed network and the equipment purchased and deployed are capable of delivering high-performance and intelligent features to optimize the use of a limited spectrum.
