Friday, March 8, 2024, is the deadline for course request changes. No changes will be considered after the deadline.

Science
Science Classes are grouped into four discipline areas:
Biological Science
Chemical Science
Earth Science
Physical Science
For the Standard Diploma, students need to complete 3 credits in Science from two different discipline areas. **
For the Advanced Studies Diploma, students need to complete 4 credits in Science from three different discipline areas. (The most rigorous plan is Biology, Chemistry and Physics.) **
**It's best to discuss your individual course plans with your counselor during your scheduled Academic Advising meeting.

Courses that Meet the Fine Art or CTE Course Requirement
For both the Standard and Advanced Studies diploma, students are required to earn a full 1.0 credit in a fine arts or CTE course. This list reflects courses taught throughout Fairfax County Public Schools, most of which are available to Chantilly High School students.
