CUNY BROOKLYN COLLEGE AND FUTURE GOOGLE PILOT

(ANTICIPATED 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR)

Reached out to Jonathan Rochelle at Google after he posted an article on twitter regarding connecting classrooms virtually with Google Hangouts and Jamboard. I had a call with him and proposed a pilot in collaboration with Brooklyn College, where I would be working with him and Anita Flanigan from Google on a pilot to observe classrooms virtually through singular observation while collecting notes on the Jamboard. As an advisory member for the Dean of Education at Brooklyn College, Dean April Bedford, she approved the pilot. Ideally, this will expand throughout all CUNY schools depending on the success of the pilot. Anticipated throughout the 2018-2019 school year.

GOOGLE PILOT

After applying through a post seen on either #NYCSchoolsTech facebook group or Google + communities, BCA was chosen to participate in Google's Pilot School Program. As a participant of this program, Google routinely visits classrooms in the school that use new technologies not yet released to the public.

Communications for this program are facilitated through Aditya Patel from Google.
