The Main Event

Ok... so we're now ready to roll. The first 4 sections below are where you put your thinking cap on and describe where you are at.

Business review / Community Project definition

These first 4 sections are to enable us to get a good handle on the aspirations, what is in place already, and where you might want to go with it. The more detail that can be provided the better.

Why? (1)

What is your why for doing this?

What problem are you seeking to solve?

What difference are you looking to make?

What is it? (2)

Describe what the community project / business currently is

  • Where does it operate from
  • Where are the people it is serving
  • Who is currently involved and contributing in some way. What are they doing?
  • What Products and / or Services are being offered? Are things being sold?
  • Expertise within the organisation, qualifications, certificates, memberships
  • What colateral or sales materials are there to support promotion?
  • What Social Media platforms are being used?
  • What systems and processes are in use to manage the organisation on a day to day basis e.g. Contact Management, Invoicing, Accounts, File storage, Documents, Images
  • How much are you investing in your personal growth, what are you doing in this area?

Funded by (3)

How is this idea being funded?

Plans / goals / objectives (4)

Whenever we are starting, or reviewing a project / business we have some idea of what we want to achieve and by when.

Now is the time to put that down on paper. It doesn't matter if it is wildly out but it is important we have the initial thoughts written down.

  • What are the things you want to do?
  • When do you want to have got them done?

The plans and goals can be task specific as well as financial or number driven. So having brochures printed, websites set up, some supporting documents written are all valid targets... get creative!
