Stay close to the group in front of you. If you fall more than a hole behind, advance to the tee of the next hole and record as your score, par plus your handicap stroke(s) for the hole skipped.
CHMGA tournaments should not be used as practice rounds. Time should not be used for extra shots or putts.
Pick-up at your ESC which would be hole par + hole handicap + 1.
When your ball is no longer in play for the team score, pick up.
Watch other players tee shots and approach shots, as much as possible, to help locate balls.
Play a provisional ball if you think the original is lost, out of bounds, or in the deep rough/tall grasses. Pick up your provisional ball if you find your original ball, or play the provisional with one stroke penalty.
Know where the drop zones are and use them; holes 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 16 and 17.
Take no longer than 3 minutes to search for a lost ball. Other players should hit their balls first, and then help search.
For tee shots, the first person ready should do so as soon as it is safe.
Plan your next shot while walking/riding to it or while others play theirs.
Walk briskly to your ball and back to your cart including when leaving the greens.
If dropped off, take several clubs with you so you don’t have to return to your cart.
Carry a spare ball in case you need to hit a provisional.
If another player is not ready to hit and you are ready and it is safe, go ahead and hit your ball.
Keep practice swings to a minimum; the fewer, the better.
When near or on the green, be ready when it is your turn to putt/chip.
Line up your putt while others are putting.
Proceed to the next tee box before recording scores.
