Invasive plants are more than just a nuisance — they’re quietly transforming our forests, streams, backyards, and favorite recreation spots. But with the right knowledge, you can make a real difference.

Join County Forester Mark Raishart of the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation for an eye-opening and hands-on experience exploring the plant world around us. You’ll learn how to identify common introduced (non-native) plant species, understand the threats they pose to ecosystems and communities, and discover simple strategies you can use to manage them — whether you’re one person with a backyard or part of a larger community effort.
