The easiest way to travel greener and cheaper is to leave your car in park. It's hard to ditch a car completely in rural Vermont, but there are ways to cut down your driving miles. You'll save money, improve health, and help the planet by finding opportunities to walk, bike, carpool, or use public transportation—even just occasionally.
Take a bike for short trips or commutes in nice weather; try an e-bike for an easy ride, even in the hills (rebates available)
Park and walk whenever you can—to school or a neighbor's house, between stores or while doing errands, and exploring new places
