Chapter 9: Drawing Identities

Chapter overview:

This chapter discusses three main meanings that the three children communicated through their drawings. In the layers of meaning communicated by Luke, Thea and Bertly, they used drawing as a construction of identity, drawing themselves in the past, present, and future and as fantasy characters.  They used drawing to communicate their emotional selves and to process knowledge of their learned experiences.
