Hi, my name is Chaeyeon Kim. I am a doctoral student in the Learning Sciences area within the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Advised by Dr. Mitchell Nathan. I have completed a Master of Educational Technology from Chonnam National University, where I was a member of the Convergence Research Center for Immersive Learning Technology directed by Dr. Jeeheon Ryu.
Broadly, I am interested in immersive learning environment design and development, such as virtual and augmented reality-based learning. I have designed and implemented various types of immersive learning simulations. In particular, I have focused on studying how to evaluate students' states in 3D simulation-based learning environments. Aligned with my experiences, my future research aims at designing and developing an adaptive simulation-based learning system through multimodal learning analytics in immersive settings.
