My name is Erik Jackson, and I am a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Oriental Medicine. I received my degree from Texas Health and Science University in Austin, Texas, in 2011, where I gained a deep understanding of the connection between our environment and our health.
My passion for environmental health and wellness stems from my personal experience. Over thirty years ago, my dad was diagnosed with Environmental Sensitivities, a condition that left him allergic to many everyday substances. I have seen firsthand the impact this condition can have on someone's life, and the lengths they will go to in order to live a normal life in a world that can be toxic to them.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to intern under Dr. William Rea at the American Environmental Health Foundation of Dallas, a world-renowned facility specializing in the treatment of environmental illness. This experience allowed me to see firsthand the impact of environmental factors on our health and the importance of taking a holistic approach to healing.
Through my professional and personal experiences, I have come to believe that true healing requires a comprehensive approach that considers all factors impacting our health, including environmental factors. At Changing Elements, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being by addressing the environmental factors that contribute to chronic illness.
Growing up, my dad's health issues led us on a journey of uncertainty and struggle. We went through a long list of healthcare providers, but many of them had no idea what was going on with him. Some even suggested outlandish treatments that were not helpful. As a result, my dad had to take matters into his own hands and make significant changes to his environment, diet, mentality, and routine. It was not an easy journey, but he never gave up.
Despite the challenges my dad's perseverance paid off. He went from being told to put his affairs in order at the age of 31 to living a full and productive life at 66. I'm proud to say that he's still going strong and enjoying lunch dates with his youngest grandchild. His professional career took him all over the world and he was an active participant in my childhood and teenage years.
My dad's journey has taught me the importance of being proactive about one's health and well-being. It's not just about finding the right healthcare provider, but also about making lifestyle changes that support our overall health. We must be willing to take responsibility for our health and make the necessary changes to improve our lives.
As a child, I witnessed my father struggle with his health issues. It was a difficult time for my family and me, but it also taught me the importance of taking care of ourselves and our environment. Through my personal experience, I realized that environmental factors can have a significant impact on our health, and I became passionate about finding ways to better care for our world and ourselves.
As I grew older my passion for improving health and wellness only grew stronger. I studied environmental health and wellness, and I became certified in various wellness practices. I began to understand that our health and circumstances play a vital role in achieving our life goals. However, I also realized that these limits need not control us. With the right mindset and practices, we can lead incredible lives and achieve our aspirations regardless of our circumstances.
That's why I'm here to help others achieve their life goals with the best health they can attain. Whether it's through coaching, education, or providing resources, I'm dedicated to empowering others to take control of their health and well-being. With a focus on environmental factors, I'm committed to helping individuals improve their health and the world around them. Together, we can achieve our dreams and make a positive impact on the world.
