This module is an opportunity for you to work with your peers to examine and discuss ethical dilemmas related to ChatGPT. While discussing, remember that ethical dilemmas don’t have a correct answer. It’s alright and encouraged for you to disagree with your learning pod during this activity.
Form a group of four on Mattermost. Try to work with new learners.
Each learner researches and presents a case study highlighting an ethical dilemma associated with the use of AI language models (ex. Plagiarism, misinformation, etc.). Ensure that there is no overlap in the specific case study, overlap in overall topic is alright.
Learners discuss the implications, explore different perspectives, and propose strategies to address ethical concerns.
The learning pod engages in a group discussion to evaluate and refine the proposed solutions.
Everyone shall submit an individual reflection based on any new learnings from their discussion with their peers about ethical dilemmas. In the reflection, address the following prompts.
What surprised you?
What did you agree or disagree with?
Have your thoughts about ChatGPT as a tool changed? If so, explain how they changed.
