Duel meets are weekly meets where two teams in the conference compete a specific order of events. The meets are scored by placement per event. The team with the highest amount of points at the end of the meet is the winner. Chaska High School is part of the Metro West conference.

Divers compete a 6-dive list at duel meets. Each week, they will have a required diving category (this will be communicated by the diving coach). If a diver does not have a full list of 6 dives, they will compete as either a Junior Varsity (JV) or exhibition diver.
Athletes can compete in both swimming and diving. Diving would count as 1 individual event.
The coaches will communicate to your athlete what events they will be competing in for the week's duel meet a few days before.

We will communicate the exact time we would like our swimmers and divers to arrive to the pool (Pioneer Ridge Middle School) the week of but you should expect a 4:30pm arrival time.
For away meets, the entire team will ride the bus to the pool and home. The bus will always depart from Chaska High School by the activies entrance (student parking side of the building) at 4:30pm. Following the end of the meet, the entire team will ride the bus back to Chaska High School - please be ready to pick them up from here!
If for any reason your athlete cannot ride the bus to or from, please reach out to a coach as soon as you can.
We will have a variety of volunteer spots open for each home meet. These will include timers, an announcer, and people to help set up and tear down the pool deck. A signup genius link will be sent out a few days prior to each home meet. We would like for every parent/guardian to volunteer for at least one home meet!
STUDENTS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS: You are welcome to volunteer at our home meets as timers (or other various positions) if there are spots open after the parents/guardians/families have had a chance to sign up. One duel meet will count for two hours of volunteer work.
