I've added this page to provide access to some notable dates in the year calendar which might be of interest e.g. Leics. school term dates. I'll endeavour to keep these updated.
I've also transferred the Google Calendar Box over from the main News page for the sake of convenience. You'll also find a handy calculator 'widgets' for finding the date of Easter and Ramadan/Eid in any calendar year in the past or future.

Christmas and New Year Period 2026-7: Opening Times
The Fridge will be closed this year between Monday 21st December 2026 and Sunday January 3rd 2027. Our last session before the closure will be Friday 18th December.
We re-open on Monday January 4th as usual.
For those needing support during the closure, we have also provided details below of local food banks that may be able to help. You'll also find details of their normal opening times, their locations, and links to their websites/facebook pages on our Fridges page, and you can also get directions to each of them using our map on the same page.
Before visiting a food bank, please check:
a) Whether you are eligible for support - most food banks require a referral, or evidence of state benefit entitlement.
b) When the food bank will be opening over the holiday period.
If you are able to venture farther afield, or are not elegible to use food banks, you can also check out our Fridges page for alternative CF venues around the county.
As for food banks, please check opening times before visiting any of these alternative venues.
