Dates

I've added this page to provide access to some notable dates in the year calendar which might be of interest e.g. Leics. school term dates. I'll endeavour to keep these updated.

I've also transferred the Google Calendar Box from the Main News page for the sake of convenience.

Leicestershire School Term Dates 2026

Spring Term:  Starts: 5/1/26; Half term: 16-20/2/26; Term Ends: 27/3/26

Summer Term: Starts: 13/4/26; Half term: 25-29/5/26; Term ends: 7/7/26

Autumn Term: Starts: 31/8/26; Half term: 19-23/10/26; Term Ends: 18/12/26

Parents are advised to check with their local school regarding any changes - teacher training days can affect start and end dates.

Christmas and New Year Opening times 2025-26:

We will be closed from 23.12.25 to 4.1.26 inclusive - see the poster below the calendar box for details.

For those needing support during the closure, we have also provided details below of local food banks that may be able to help. 

Before visiting, please check: 

a) Whether you are eligible for support - most food banks require a referral or evidence of state  benefit entitlement.

b) When the food bank will be opening over the Christmas and New Year period.
