Slaying Saviour is a solo project I made for my enconomy assessment that was completed within 10 days.
I choose to make a Turn-Based RPG inside of MicrosoftExcel using its Macros and VBA code.
I thought this would be an interesting challenge for myself as I've heard of people making games using excel but I had no idea how they did it.
I learnt a lot with this project, some notable things were:
Understanding how vast excel is as a program.
How important testing and iteration is for economy balancing escpecially at the start of a game with gold spending and gold gained.
Trying to read & write code for first time is challenging, takes a lot of time and is completely worth doing because it was really really fun!
An 8 day solo project for my User Experience Assessment.
Recipe Register is a concept for smart recipe mobile appilcation designed to track the users ingredients, make a stocktake and compare them with recipes allowing users to eaily find dishes they have most of the ingredients for.
This application would people make an attempted at preventing excess food wastage without having to think critically about what to do with their left over meals or ingredients.
The concept was created using Figma, I learned how to use this program effiecntly and understood why it can be a useful tool for prototyping User-Interfaces in video games.
