A Volunteer for K-AERA Reception
I was honored to serve as a volunteer for the K-AERA (Korean-American Educational Researchers Association) reception during the conference. Greeting fellow attendees and assisting with event logistics, I found joy in contributing to the warm and inclusive atmosphere of the reception. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to connect with scholars, fostering a sense of community within the educational research field.Â
A Presentor at Graduate Work-in-progress Roundtable
I had the privilege of presenting my work at the graduate work-in-progress roundtable with Jiabei Xu about training international graduate teaching assistants. It was my first in-person conference presentation, and I was very nervous. However, sharing my research findings and engaging in discussions with fellow graduate students and faculty gave me valuable feedback and insights. The supportive environment of the roundtable encouraged meaningful conversations, and I left with a deeper understanding of my research and a network of peers who shared similar academic interests.Â
