Kaltura is a web-based video management platform that allows for the upload, editing, managing, and sharing of videos and other media. Kaltura can be accessed directly from within the Moodle toolbar and provides automatic transcription for the easy creation of accessible videos.
Copyleaks is a plagiarism detection software that scans digital content across various platforms to identify plagiarism, paraphrasing, and content manipulation. Copyleaks serves as a tool to uphold academic integrity and protect original content by detecting unauthorized use or reproduction of text, images, and source code.
EDpuzzle is a teaching tool to place interactive content into pre-existing videos from various sources, such as TED or YouTube, or into videos you have made. Create an Account. To create an EDpuzzle account, navigate to EDpuzzle.com. Click the “Teacher Start Now” button.
PD Resources:
Pronto is a real-time messaging app that allows you to communicate instantly with students without sharing your personal cell phone information. The interface is clean and simple and offers features like real-time messaging, video chat, task management, announcements, and instant language translation.
This AI teaching and learning generator makes creating resources for your classroom easier without spending hours on research and design. Input your desired topic, and the app will generate a variety of materials, including lesson plans, activities, worksheets, and more. It works from the website and from within Moodle.
Lockdown Browser
Respondus LockDown Browser™ is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications.
Lockdown Monitor
Respondus Monitor™ is an add-on to Lockdown Browser™ that utilizes the student’s webcam to provide additional monitoring. Students and their surroundings will be recorded for the duration of the exam, and any inconsistencies or activities that suggest cheating or plagiarism will be detected and the recording will be flagged.
You can use Lockdown Browser™ for all of your exams but only use Monitor™ for non-proxied, high-stakes exams.
