The Vice Presidents of the Central Young Chakma Association (CYCA), Dg. BH Sadhan Bikash Chakma and Dgb. Mandira Chakma, participated in a “One Day Capacity Building Programme for Child Protection Stakeholders” held at Lawngtlai on 17th April, 2026.

They were accompanied by Dgb. Juhnee, President of the Central Chakma Mahila Samiti (CCMS), along with Dgb. Jonaki Chakma.

The programme focused on strengthening awareness, coordination, and institutional capacity among stakeholders working in the field of child protection and welfare. Various issues relating to the safeguarding of children’s rights and collaborative approaches towards child protection were discussed during the session.

The participation of CYCA representatives reflected the Association’s commitment towards social responsibility and its support for initiatives aimed at ensuring the welfare, protection, and well-being of children in society.
