About Us
The Central Young Chakma Association (CYCA) is a leading socio-cultural youth organization dedicated to the welfare, unity, development, and empowerment of the Chakma community. Established on 25th October 1978, CYCA has been actively working to promote education, preserve cultural heritage, encourage youth leadership, and strengthen social harmony within society.
Since its inception, the organization has continuously served as a platform for young people to come together and contribute positively toward community development. CYCA believes that youth are the foundation of a progressive society, and through discipline, awareness, responsibility, and service, young generations can bring meaningful change.
Over the years, CYCA has organized numerous educational, cultural, social, and humanitarian activities aimed at uplifting society and preserving the identity, traditions, language, and values of the Chakma people. The organization also promotes unity, cooperation, and mutual respect among communities while encouraging active participation in social welfare initiatives.
As the organization continued to grow and expand its activities, CYCA later established different Zones and Branch Committees in various regions to strengthen its organizational network and improve coordination at the grassroots level. These Zones and Branches play an important role in implementing programs, mobilizing youth participation, organizing cultural events, conducting awareness campaigns, and addressing local community needs.
With more than four decades of dedication and service, CYCA continues to work toward building a united, educated, disciplined, and progressive society guided by the principles of peace, unity, leadership, and cultural preservation.
