Dg. Alvert Chakma is an educated and socially active individual with a strong academic background and sound technical knowledge. During his student days, he actively served the community through the Mizoram Chakma Students’ Union (MCSU), Aizawl Zone, where he held the responsibilities of General Secretary and later President. He also briefly served as the General Secretary of the Central MCSU and later as the General Secretary of the Central Young Chakma Association (CYCA). He was also an active member of the CYCA Executive Body during the term 2023–2026.

He has contributed significantly to society through his dedication to quality education. He is the founder of Concept Clear Tutorial and Sakya Academy in Kamalanagar, both of which have played an important role in supporting students’ academic development.

Known for his drafting ability, organisational skills, and effective communication, he continues to contribute actively towards organisational coordination and community development.
