At Central Bell CC, we offer a proven, time-tested path

for home education that grows with your child.

Each program is designed to support parents as the lead educators, while

nurturing a love for learning within a Christ-centered community.

The Central Bell CC Community meets each Thursday in the city of Salado.

We are blessed to meet in a beautiful facility that is easily accessible from any of the surrounding areas and we boast members from Bell, Coryell, Lampasas, and Williamson County.

Childcare

To support parents in being fully present and engaged with their students during community days, we offer loving childcare for children ages 3 and under. Since Central Bell CC equips parents to be the primary teachers, not just drop-off participants, our tutors serve as lead learners—guiding the day while parents stay involved. This childcare option makes it easier for families with littles to participate in the full CC experience.

Note: Childcare is open to children 8 and under during our afternoon Essentials class period.

Foundations (Ages 4-12)

The Foundations program introduces young learners to core academic content through memory work, songs, hands-on science, fine arts, and engaging presentations. With an emphasis on joyful learning and mastery through repetition, children build a strong base for future study—while parents grow in confidence as teachers.

Capstone Event: Community Memory Master — Students can achieve Community Memory Master by reciting the entire cycle’s memory work with accuracy and excellence. This recognition honors their hard work, consistency, and growth throughout the year. It’s a joyful moment for our community to acknowledge their achievement and inspire others in their own learning journey.

What’s a capstone event?

In Classical Conversations, a capstone event is a meaningful opportunity for students to demonstrate what they've learned in a public or performance-based setting—celebrating their growth with peers and parents.

Essentials (Ages 9-12)

Essentials equips parents and students with the tools of language. Through grammar, writing, and math games, students develop strong writing and critical thinking skills. This afternoon program complements Foundations and prepares students for the Challenge years ahead.

Capstone Event: Faces of History — Students research a historical figure, write a formal paper, and present their character in first-person at a special event. Dressed in costume, they bring history to life while practicing writing, public speaking, and presentation skills—all within a supportive community setting.

Challenge A (Ages 12+)

Students begin dialectic thinking with geography, science, Latin, and literature. They learn to ask meaningful questions, manage their studies, and build a strong academic foundation.

Capstone Event: Science Fair — Each student designs and presents an independent science experiment, practicing the scientific method, presentation skills, and confidence in front of an audience.

Challenge B (Ages 13+)

Focused on logic, science, current events, and persuasive writing, students learn to make sound arguments and deepen their understanding of the world.

Capstone Event: Mock Trial — Students take part in a full courtroom simulation, practicing public speaking, logic, and teamwork.

Challenge I (Ages 14+)

Through American literature, history, biology, and persuasive essays, students explore truth, beauty, and goodness while refining rhetorical skills.

Capstone Event: End-of-Year Debates — Students participate in team debates that challenge them to defend ideas with logic and grace.

Challenge II (Ages 15+)

Students dive into British literature, traditional logic, and Western cultural history, connecting past and present through rich discussions.

Capstone Event: Protocol — This event offers students a meaningful opportunity to grow in confidence and practice social graces in a formal setting. Dressed in their best, students enjoy a fine dining experience followed by a cultural outing such as a play, ballet, or concert. It’s a memorable way to celebrate maturity, poise, and community.

Challenge III (Ages 16+) - Coming in 2026

With philosophy, chemistry, and American literature, students explore deep ideas and sharpen their rhetorical voice.

Capstone Event: Poetry Café — Students are invited to share original poetry in a relaxed, café-style setting. Surrounded by peers and mentors, they celebrate the beauty of language through thoughtful readings and encouragement. It’s a rich and memorable moment in their growing love for words and ideas.

How blessed we are to have a growing campus with committed families!

Challenge II will be the highest class we offer during the 2025-2026 school year. It is our goal to continue to build our community and add one more Challenge level each year. This will allow families to really settle in, lay down roots, and work through the entire CC program at our Central Bell Campus. It is our prayer that we will see our first Central Bell Graduates begin their 4th year of Challenge in the fall of 2027!

Challenge IV (Ages 17+) - Coming in 2027

This final year focuses on ancient literature, theology, economics, and physics, preparing students to synthesize knowledge and lead with wisdom.

Capstone Event: Senior Thesis Presentation — Students research, write, and defend a formal thesis on a topic of their choice before peers and parents.
