Firewise Certificate

We did it, again! The Firewise USA® program approved our 2025 renewal application on December 5, 2025.

A special thanks to all participating community members who took essential steps to reduce our wildfire risk and continually improve our community's wildfire resiliency.

With our newly expanded community and our amazing participating Firewise community members, we significantly increased our 2024 progress numbers in 2025, established two new demonstration shaded fuel breaks within our boundaries, and removed 2784 cubic yards of fuel, while investing roughly $867,000 in both time and expenses. 

We did it, again! The Firewise USA® program approved our 2024 renewal application on December 2, 2024.

A special thanks to all participating community members who took essential steps to help reduce our wildfire risk and continually improve our community's resiliency to wildfire.

We expanded our community from 219 dwellings to 240 dwellings and 694 residents and created a demonstration shaded fuel break within our boundaries. We removed 2303 cubic yards of vegetation and invested  $532,733.25 in both hours and money in 2024!

We did it! The Central Summit Watershed Community was nationally recognized as a Firewise USA® program participant in October.
