One Day Online National Seminar on "Redefining Libraries with Artificial Intelligence" on April 16, 2025
The Knowledge Resource Center (Library) of A.B.M.S.P's Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya, Pune organised One Day Online National Seminar on "Redefining Libraries with Artificial Intelligence" on April 16, 2025. The national seminar on Redefining Libraries with Artificial Intelligence, where experts, researchers, and library professionals have explored the role of AI in transforming libraries. The topics such as AI and Libraries Today, demonstrating AI Tools for Smart Libraries, Challenges and opportunities for the libraries in the age of AI covered in the seminar.
Akhil Bhartiya Maratha Shikshan Parishad was established in 1907. The Parishad was established with the motto "Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay” (In the interest and welfare of the common masses). Since its inception, the Parishad has created an educational awareness amongst the people of all strata. Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya was established in 1960 spread education among masses. Our college tries to fulfill its aim by providing quality education to the students who are socially, economically and academically backward. Library of our college is situated at the mid of campus in separate building with complete automation and digital library facility.
Considering the need of the hour and revolution in library services, implementing AI tools in academic libraries is no longer far. Hence the topic was current and learning new AI tools is need of the hour. The seminar was Coordinated by Dr. Priyanka Naikwadi, Librarian of College and chaired by Principal Dr. Vilas Patil.
