General Rules:-
Students should not enter in the library without I-card.
Please maintain silence in the library.
Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited. If any use is found talking on the phone strict action will be taken against that person.
Smoking, eating, chewing gum is strictly prohibited.
Students are supposed to keep their bags, personal reading material and other belongings outside the library. Students are advised not to keep their valuable things inside the bag at the counter.
**THE LIBRARY STAFF is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF STUDENTS BELONGINGS**
Students will not be allowed to use the library during lectures hours.
Students are requested to keep the books/magazines or any other material used in its respective place.
No library material will be taken out of the library without the permission of the librarian.
Books/Periodicals or any other library material can be issued only after showing a valid I-Card.
Books once issued will not be returned on the same day.
No library material can be issued by any person on someone else's I-Card.
Each student can issue 2 books on one card for period of 4 days.
A book issued can be renewed on or before the due date, "once" for a period of 4 more days only.
A late fine of Rs.1 will be charged per book per day.
No books can be issued once the fine crosses Rs. 10.00
Issuing will be restored once the dues are paid in the accounts section and by showing the receipt to library of the same.
Books returned to the library will not be issued to anyone for a period.
Students should ensure the condition of the book before issuing it and inform the librarian about the missing or torn pages if any. Otherwise the concerned student will be held responsible for the same.
If a book is lost, the concerned person has to replace the lost book with a new book, as well as pay the late fine.
Any library material is taken out of the library for photocopying will have to be returned within an hour. Necessary action will be taken against the users failing to do so.
A new I-card can be issued by paying a fine of Rs. 100/- in the accounts department and submitting the receipt of the same to the librarian.
Library Rules may be amended or altered as & when necessary.
Library Timing:
Monday to Saturday : 9.00 am to 4.40 pm
Books Issue & Return : 9.00 am. to 4.40 pm
(Closed on Sunday and Holidays)
Reading Hall :- 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(During Exams- 7.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
Competitive center reading Hall- 7.am. to 10 pm
Issuing Identity card/ Library cards Procedure-
1. On the day of admission student must take his I-Card from library by producing Admission Receipt .
2. Borrower's / Library Card will be issued after a week of issuing I- Card, by producing passport size photo and admission receipt.
