The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) imposed on several housing areas in Kulim's sub-district of Sg Seluang is extended for another two weeks.
Initially slated to end tomorrow, Senior Minister (security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the extension would be from December 11 to December 24.
However, Taman Sawi, currently part of the list of housing areas subjected to the EMCO, would be exempted from the extension as no positive Covid-19 cases have been recorded.
According to the Health Ministry, 128 samples are still pending. Targeted screening has seen tests conducted on 2,282 with 137 testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
For the next news, I will past to Bro./Sis. (Student B’s name)

Top Glove Bhd is still in the process of sourcing for more accommodation for its large number of foreign workers – a move which will be completed by Dec 31.
The statement followed an announcement by the Labour Department of Peninsular Malaysia of a probe against six Top Glove companies under the Workers' Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990.
Top Glove added that it has spent some RM20 million on purchasing 100 units of apartments for workers over the past two months, to ensure that they adhere to the government's requirements.
This was in addition to having previously invested in 100 double-storey houses and hostels with full facilities, including in-house canteen, automated teller machines, barbershops, and minimarts, worth an estimated RM50 million in total.
