Well, two months have flown by, and here we are in NOVEMBER! With the shift of Parent Teacher Conferences, November promises to fly by! We only have two full weeks of school this month. My Wed-Friday classes are welcome to reschedule a check-out time during the short weeks to ensure their kiddos have access to books each week! Just take a peek at my schedule and let me know a time that works for you.
Additionally, the PTSA is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair the Week of November 7-10. They will be setting up the library on Monday afternoon. If you would like to preview the Book Fair, please sign up for a ten-minute slot here.
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for all of you. I truly know that I am working with some of the most talented teachers/educators in Issaquah! I cannot express how important it is that you have supported the library program. I am indeed one lucky librarian!
November means kindness, gratitude, and giving. In the library, I have several books and activities where students can practice gratitude available at the Makerspace. I found all of these fun activities here, along with some super cute printable posters!
November is also KNOW-vember! Look for displays around the library and school that encourage kiddos to use their resources, continue their learning, and think about how they can use their knowledge for good. Knowvember encourages climate change awareness and therefore some of our stories and activities will reflect environmental awareness.
Don't forget to check out the November Choice Board- you will find access to Veteran's Day Activities here!
Happy Fall!
