5th Grade

This month we are celebrating KNOW-vember!  How can we learn more about a topic and where do we find that information in the library or through our library databases?  We celebrate Veteran's day by learning more about Maya Lin- the architect behind the  Vietnam Memorial, and we will learn about the oldest person who learned to read!  Before Thanksgiving break, we will listen to the First Blade of Sweetgrass by Suzanne Greenlaw and learn more about the first people who inhabited Sammamish.

Students are also  focusing on understanding the difference between primary and secondary sources, and subsequently how to cite a source.We will use Canva to make a slideshow all about things we learn during KNOW-vember.
