2nd Grade

     Second graders are enjoying our Remarkable True Animal Stories Unit!  This November we will hear a few more remarkable true stories and wrap up the unit with a  STEAM LAB!  

      We continue to remember library routines and will become experts at self checkout!  This month I will be highlighting several chapter book series that I hope students check out!  

      I will also begin research strategies and pathways through my weekly "First Job".  Students will be introduced to Destiny Discover and Pebble Go this month.   These databases will be used during our STEAM Lab stations at the end of the month.

Essential Question:   What is the purpose of true stories?

Library Skills and Organization Learning Goals:

1. Recognize that the library is organized in a specific way.

2. Notice that non-fiction books are organized differently than fiction books.

3. Knows how to follow library routines and rules.
