San Jose del Monte, Bulacan — The Academic Resource Center recently underwent a Level 1 Accreditation visit conducted by the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) from December 17 to 19, 2025, marking a significant step toward strengthening the institution’s academic services and learning resources.
Leading the evaluation was Prof. Roilingel Calilung, the assigned accreditor for the library area. The visit focused on assessing the library’s overall performance, including its collection, services, facilities, staff qualifications, and support for student learning and research.
During the three-day accreditation process, the library team presented key documents and evidence demonstrating compliance with ALCUCOA standards. These included updated book collections, digital resources, circulation services, and programs designed to promote information literacy among students.
Prof. Calilung conducted a thorough review of the library’s operations, including an ocular inspection of its facilities. He also engaged with library personnel to better understand their workflows, challenges, and plans for improvement. The evaluation highlighted both strengths and areas for development, providing valuable insights for continuous enhancement.
The Level 1 Accreditation serves as an important milestone, as it recognizes that the library meets the minimum requirements set by ALCUCOA. More importantly, it reflects the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education through accessible and well-managed learning resources.
Library staff expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to undergo the accreditation process, viewing it as a chance to grow and align their services with national standards. The administration also reaffirmed its support in further improving the library to better serve students and faculty.
With this development, the college moves forward in its goal of achieving higher accreditation levels, ensuring that its academic support services remain relevant, efficient, and student-centered.
