For this assignment you will pick a different culture than your own and present/teach 3 recreational activities from that culture to the class.

In this assignment you will:

1. Email me your plan at least one week before your lesson (10%)

2. type out a lesson plan (20%)

3. meet with me to show me your lesson plan (20%)

4. present your games (40%)

5. reflect (10%)

Cultural Activity

· Explore and find a 3 games/activities representing a different culture

· Explain and lead the game to the class

· Analyze and submit a typed explanation of the game/activity’s history, significance, and how to play.

The 3 activities must be from different ages:

1. Childhood recreational activity

2. Adolescent or teenage recreational activity

3. Adult recreational activity

For each activity you must:

• teach the activity to the class

• explain the history and cultural importance of the activity

• Explain any variations of the activity if possible

Debriefing with the class:

• Type at least 5 discussion questions your culture and recreational activities

• lead a class discussion about the culture and activity
