This printer allows you to get more eye-catching shades from pastel through to neon, and is world’s first PANTONE calibrated printer for PANTONE PASTEL & NEON GUIDE Coated in addition to 99% coverage from the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE Solid Coated. However, this is dependant upon the paper stock used as the paper can alter the final colour dramatically.
We do have some papers that we recommend students avoid when printing on their own paper. These include:
G.F. Smith
Neenah Environment 90gsm (The ink soaks too deep into the paper and fades the colour.)
Coloured Paper
We have known issues with some types of coloured stock. The types to cause more consistent issues are...
Black paper
Navy paper
Kraft paper
Metallic stock
Fluorescent stock
We update this list regularly when a new paper to avoid is discovered.
