We believe in creating a positive and safe place for athletes to participate in healthy competition with
fellow teammates and other interscholastic participants. Keeping in mind that everyone comes from
different walks of life, forms of self-expression, and physical or mental ability. Creating a positive
swimming environment not only aids student athletes in developing physically but also mentally. We
encourage and will aid the participants in setting short-term and long-term goals in the hopes of creating
well-rounded individual athletes and leaders.
We believe that the teaching of proper technique early in one's swimming career is essential for success. We
will implement well-thought-out practices focusing on the mechanics of swimming over yardage while
also teaching the sport through verbal, kinesthetic, and visual instruction. This will ensure that the
athletes’ technique is refined over the course of their swimming career, and our time in the pool is used
as efficiently as possible both individually and as a team. We believe that the focus of swimming should be
less about winning and losing, but about personal growth and a sense of positive team unity and pride.
